17 May 2005 : Training on ISO 14001 Transition from 1996 version to 2004

On 17 May 2005, there was a Seminar on "ISO 14001 Transition from 1996 to 2004" organized by the HK Federation of Industries and BVQI (HK) Ltd. The theme of the Seminar/Training was to give details about the information about the new ISO 14001:2004 to the public. Since it was beneficial to get practical advice on the implementation or modification of the existing system to the new standard, the Managing Director, Nelson Law, of N. Law and Associates was invited to be a guest speaker for half a day in that Seminar. The new standard was published on 15 Nov. 2004 and there will be a grace period of 18 months for a Company to change its system according to the new standard. Before the deadline of July 2006, any deviation found in the existing system as compared with ISO 14001:2004 will be considered as an Observation by BVQi. N.
