17 October 2003 : N. Law and Associates organizes HACCP Seminar with BVQI

HACCP is vital to food manufacturing and serving operations. N. Law and Associates, with his expertise and experience in this area, has provided HACCP consultancy and training services to a number of food organizations. A HACCP seminar was organized on 17 October 2003 in the Regal Kowloon Hotel. The theme of the Seminar focused on the following topics : Topics : a) 7 Principles of HACCP & Hygiene practices : Speaker was Nelson Law, Managing Director of N. Law and Associates Management Consultancy Ltd. b) Experience sharing in implementing ISO 9001 + HACCP in central production and patient catering of the Catering Services Department of the North District Hospital. This part was presented by the Catering Services Manager, Mr Larry Law. Larry was graduated from the HK Polytechnic in Hotel Management. He has 10 years of experience in working in Hotels. In 1995, he joined the Hospital Authority and worked until now. The Catering Services Department has got the help of N. Law and Associates as the consultant in going for ISO and HACCP certifications. Much staff's effort and investment on improving facilities have taken place in due course. Larry has expressed that it was worth a while to spend the effort and every staff feels excited when the certifications are achieved. c) HACCP certification process : The speaker was Dr. Thomas Kwok, who is the Manager of BVQI (HK) Ltd. BVQI has granted TWO certificates (one for ISO 9001:2000 and one for HACCP certification) to the North District Hospital. The Seminar was well received by a large crowd of audience in the food industries. N. Law and Associates feels that it would be worthwhile to organize Seminars of similar nature in future.
