15 Nov. 2002 : HKO Airport Meteorological Office achieves ISO 9001:2000

Recently the Airport Meteorological Office (AMO) of the Hong Kong Observatory has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification. The Certificate was granted by the reputable Certification Body, the Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI). BVQI has a lot of certifications granted to public and private organizations in Hong Kong, China and overseas. The Airport Meteorological Office is located in the traffic control tower of the Hong Kong International Airport in Chek Lap Kok. The scope of Certification is “Provision of aviation weather services for international air navigation.” The Airport Meteorological Office is now one of the first weather services in the Asia and Pacific region with ISO 9001:2000 certification for aviation weather service. N. Law and Associates was the management consultant for this ISO 9001 implementation exercise and we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the AMO in this achievement.
