Quality is meant by Quality Objective in ISO 9001:2000 ?

The official definition of ISO 9000 for Quality Objective is : 'Something sought, or aimed for, related to Quality' ISO 9000 requires quality objectives to be specified for relevant functions and levels in an organization. That is to say, you need to specify quality objectives for every department/section. For Quality Control Department of a factory, for examples, you can set the Quality Objective to be 0.5% defect rate during the monthly Quality Assurance Checks.
